What is the Marketing Leaders 2030 Programme?
Organisations today seek marketers who are able to effectively leverage digital platforms to drive business growth. Advertising, media and public relations agencies on the other hand, need project managers and media strategists to provide better and more robust digital solutions to support their clients. To address this skills gap, the Institute of Advertising (IAS) has partnered NTUC U Associate, the Employment and Employability Institute (e2i), as well as Workforce Singapore (WSG) to develop the Marketing Leaders 2030 Programme.
The programme comprises 6 key modules that seeks to equip participants with:
• Knowledge of the latest trends in the ever-changing media landscape as well as discover, embrace and be better prepared for the next wave of change
• Technical know-how and knowledge of tools they can use to more effectively plan and execute digital campaigns
• Valuable insights and practitioner’s perspective through the sharing of case studies by C-suite executives
• Participants will be given a complimentary 2-day pass (originally priced at SGD$1,330) to APPIES 2017 – the TED equivalent for the Marketing practitioners

1. Ethics in the Digital Age (AM) & Leading Culture Innovation (PM) (20th Apr 2017)
Ethics in the Digital Age (Trainer: Samuel Seow, Samuel Seow Law Corporation) – Do you know what you need to do to be in compliance of the new regulations? Learn what it takes to comply with the Data Protection law for your next campaign, and the steps you can take, with or without the legal jargon.
Leading Culture Innovation (Trainer: Otto Ruijs, Hyper Island; Guest Speaker: Gregory Torfs, Google Singapore) uses a wide variety of programs, processes, and systems which encourage people and the organization to learn, recover from mistakes, and innovate. Andrea Baronchelli is the CMO at Lazada Singapore. With over 5 years of experience across eCommerce, Investment Banking and Consulting, Andrea has spent the last 3 years developing eCommerce platforms across South East Asia. His experience includes digital marketing, e-commerce and early-stage start-up management. Andrea was CEO and co-founder at Lamido Vietnam (www.kaymu.com), a Rocket-Internet funded C2C marketplace, focused on emerging economies. Andrea has also worked with Lazada Group across the region, setting up the Lazada Home vertical in key South East Asian markets.
In addition, he was part of the founding team that set up the Lazada Sourcing & Crossborder Hub in Hong-Kong. Prior to his current challenge, he was based in Dublin, where he joined Google EMEA over 4 years ago and was responsible for the SMB Agency Business for Northern Europe. Before joining Google, Greg spent 18 years mainly in leadership positions within the Telecom industry, managing accounts, teams, countries and a continent. In his last position before joining Google, Greg was Sr Director for GTS Central Europe, which was sold to Deutsche Telekom. Greg moved to Singapore with his wife Timea and son Sebastien. He enjoys traveling with the family and discovering new wines.

A/Prof (Adj) Neo Kok Beng is an associate professor (adjunct) at the National University of Singapore, with appointments at NUS Business School, Faculty of Engineering and NUS Enterprise. He is also Faculty of Innovation for Economic Development at Harvard Kennedy School and was Associate of Science, Technology & Globalization Project at Harvard University. Prof Neo is an innovation expert, technology entrepreneur and venture catalyst, specializing in the development of innovation-driven, technology-based, high-growth businesses. He also founded several global technology startups in the areas of medical device, 3D printing and information security. He sits on numerous innovation advisory panels including Government Parliamentary Committee for Trade, Finance & Industry, Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore, SPRING Singapore’s Technology Commercialization Scheme, Subcommittee on Innovation & Enterprise for National Research Foundation and Prime Minister’s Office.

Olivier is a seasoned innovation leader with wide experience ranging from global multinational product powerhouse to boutique specialised consultancy. His work journey took him from the slums of Nairobi to the cafés of Melbourne looking at consumer behaviours to create more meaningful products for clients such as Nokia, SingTel, Mondelez, Grameen foundation, and others.
As a thought-leader on innovation, Olivier gives regular talks in conferences and workshops on design processes. Mr Sam Too has over 10 years of regional business development experience and 4 years in a Market Research Consultancy firm before joining Deal.com.sg. He was involved in the business development role and helped initiate one of the new categories (Travel) that saw the rapid rise of Deal.com.sg.
Seeing the rising trend of e-commerce and the potential of the e- marketplace business model, he joined Giosis Pte Ltd (www.Qoo10.sg) in 2011. From the early days of Qoo10 Singapore (then known as GMarket Singapore), he witnessed the evolution of e-commerce in Singapore (of both Buyers and Sellers) and aspects that were unique to its locality and context.
